Description

Tortuguero Lodge was deep in the jungle somewhere out side of Tortuguero Costa Rica.

Saying jungle sounds so barbaric, especially if you are planning to stay over night and rough it, but it was way nicer than you would ever imagine.

We were just told that walking around at night could be hazardous, because you never know what you could run into, so make sure to have a flash light handy to see where you were walking.

The canals of Tortuguero gave the town its nickname of "Costa Rica's Amazon", with each day having a fantastic opportunity to see wildlife.

Many guided boat tours leave Tortuguero and the surrounding lodges to see the wildlife, jungle, and canals. It was amazing!
