Description
Special Note: Remembering who fights for our freedoms in this country no matter how many years ago the battle was fought is the most important to thing to American freedoms that we all live by today, because most of these boys didn't come back after this day marked in the history books.
High Spirits is what the Union Army had as they walked the walk marching into battle on that day of days, July 1st to July 3d,1863.
Those boys most have been scared out of their minds as they fearlessly marched onto this battle field and died for our freedom we all enjoy today and I would like to thank them all for their great sacrifice and service to our nation.
The American Civil War, also known as the War Between the States or simply the Civil War, was a civil war fought from 1861 to 1865, after seven Southern slave states declared their secession and formed the Confederate States of America (the "Confederacy" or the "South", which grew to include eleven states).

Gettysburg like most Civil War battlefields, was a horrible place for the soldiers fighting there. This turning point was great moment in that war. This is a great reminder of the personal aspect of the war, with the wives and curious onlookers standing by. Many of the men in the parade did not return.
